The DBS has taken under its wing the Centre for Dalit/Subaltern Studies in Matiala. This ecumenical centre is well designed to hold small conferences, accommodate research students and guests, it has a library and internet is accessible. The aim of this centre is purely intellectual. It is to promote philosophical and theological understanding to promote the cause of emancipation of Dalit. The Centre produces an annual journal and publishes books on Dalit themes.
