The children of sex workers in Delhi often have no safe place to go during their mothers' peak working hours. DBS has thus intervened to try to create a safe developmental program for these children between the hours of 4pm to 9pm, lest they be forced to stay in that environment. Known as the Nav Nirman Community Study Centre, this evening program has 20-25 children regularly in attendance. The children are provided indoor games to play, nutritious food, and counselling, as well as regular health check ups and study help.
